Here’s one REBUKE fans have been waiting years for… their highly anticipated new album ‘Things One Shouldn’t Have to Say’ is now available for pre-order!

Years in the making, this 18-track concept album is a fiercely inventive collection that explores the universal anxiety of a world gone off-course. Through a mix of biting lyrics, razor-sharp instrumentation, and relentless energy, Rebuke distils the essence of their unique sound into a narrative journey that challenges both the mind and the mosh pit.

At the heart of this bold release is the focus single, ‘Jordrew Peterfield’. Described by the band as a “very typically Rebuke song,” it’s fast, ever-changing, and anthemic, laced with riffs and snarling commentary. Lyrically, it skewers the cult of “thoughtless thought leaders,” dissecting the absurdities of modern intellectual elitism. Friend, Tor Hassel takes center stage in the accompanying music video as a disgruntled warehouse worker and lends his voice to the soaring choruses, bringing the track’s themes to life.

The album expands upon the ideas introduced in Rebuke’s 2016 Time Travels demo EP. With its central conceit of alternate timelines and commercialised time travel, ‘Things One Shouldn’t Have to Say’ is both a biting commentary on the present and an imaginative reflection on what could have been.

“Things just didn’t turn out the way they should have. There’s a persistent anxiety that everything should be better than it is. Through this album, we wanted to channel that frustration into something cohesive, thought-provoking, and above all, true to the Rebuke sound.”

Petter Mossberg

18 tracks of relentless energy, introspection, and social critique, ‘Things One Shouldn’t Have to Say’ is now available for pre-order! For fans of A Wilhelm Scream, Satanic Surfers, Belvedere, Cigar.
