ALEX THE KID – Straight Outta Luck
Following up on 2016’s ‘Speak Up’, Australia’s Alex The Kid are back with a new EP called ‘Straight Outta Luck’. The EP comes with 4 songs, 1 Back To The Future reference (‘When This Baby Hits 88 Miles Per Hour, You’re Gonna See Some Serious Shit’) and a shitload of catchy hooks, slick melodies and singalong choruses. They are heavy on fast and melodic punk rock with gritty vocals that somehow made me think of Set Your Goals and Iron Chic at the same time. Solid stuff! 7/10
