STONE LIONS – Necking On & Kicking Off
Stone Lions from Australia recently released their new record with the help of Pee Records, Thousand Islands Records and Disconnect Disconnect Records. Australian underground punk and hardcore scene never ceases to amaze me, so these guys are no exception to that. The trio plays melodic skatepunk with a lot of emotional pop punk influences, the song structures being melodic, fluent, shiny and sweet, yet at the same time causing melancholy in many song parts which is great. The musicianship is tight and I really enjoyed the whole 11 songs and this album really brought smile on my tired face hehe. With songs like Don`t waste your time, Party like Kate Moss or Therapy you will love this record like I do.

STONE LIONS – Necking On & Kicking Off
From the other side of the world, Stone Lions makes its debut with a jewel of the sweetest pop-punk. That one that sounds in gringas pedas or the casual summer pool party. From that pop-punk that for the most nostalgic, old-school dodgers, takes us back to the golden era of Blink-182 with records such as the Enema of The State or the Take off your Pants and Jacket . Or to other bands like New Found Glory , All Time Lo w and Nick Deep.
Who said pop-punk was dead?
“Take Me Back” , the second official single released by this band on August 23, is undoubtedly LA ROLA of this album. All a classic pop-punk anthem that makes you jump and want to sing that melodic malicious lyrics full throttle.
Since July the band was gradually promoting their album with the first official single; “Apologies . ”
That’s right, this band from New South Wales, Australia made its debut this September 27 with the album Necking On and Kicking Off through PEE Records. And although they have been presenting some songs for three years as “Burnt Out Lights” or “Party Like Kate Moss” , they officially released the album already signed by a record label.
