Perth-based pop punk outfit Dan Cribb & The Isolated is the result of the former frontman of punk band The Decline setting out to produce a low-key solo EP in 2013 and crossing paths with The Swellers’ frontman, Nick Diener. What was initially slated to be an acoustic release turned into a full-band production, with Diener contributing bass, electric guitar, keys and backing vocals. The result was five-track EP The Memories Last that needed a band to do the songs the justice they deserved live. Cribb recruited Perth-based musicians to build the project up, and as they refined their live sound, the acoustic guitars were traded for electric, and the folk rock project became so much more, seeing the new band, The Isolated, begin to tour nationally, and support the likes of Say Anything (US), Jay Whalley (Frenzal Rhomb) and more, while collaborating once again with Diener on their 2015 album “As We Drift Apart”.
