Forming in 2000 Away From Now quickly established themselves as one of Melbourne’s hardest working, leading punk rock acts. Playing alongside bands such as Hot Water Music, Sommerset (NZ), Blueline Medic, Irrelevant, Day Of Contempt, Throwdown, Horsell Common, Bodyjar, H-Block 101, Identity Theft, Change of Face, Hope Conspiracy, Good Riddance, Rise Against and many more.
After the release of three EPs and being featured on over six punk compilations, Away From Now partnered with Sam Johnson at Three Phase Studios in August 2005, to record their debut full length Blackout.
To celebrate the 20th Anniversary for ‘Blackout‘, we’ve remastered and released it on vinyl for the (long overdue) first time! The highly acclaimed album has been remastered by Sam, with repackaged artwork, featuring a song by song write-up by frontman and vocalist Luke Wilson, and available on two Limited Edition variants.
